Batiks in fall colors.
What was your inspiration?
I wanted a fall quilt, I love the rich warm colors of fall.
What are you most proud of?
No pattern, and this was my first attempt at applique. the entire thing is quilted with metallic gold thread, and the applique's are also with metallics, it sparkles in the light.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
This is a simple design, mainly just strips of fabric, the hardest part was the applique, and I admit I got bored with it when I first started, and ended up putting it away for over a year, unfinished, but this last fall I got a new sewing machine, and decided to complete some of my unfinished items, I think it came out quite nicely. :)
