Instructions
Just find the perfect fairy (I used a Christmas Ornament) and purchase a solar light lid found on-line that will fit your jar. Super glue the fairy in the jar and add the moss and eggs or what ever you find around the house. Glue sting under the lid and screw it on. Now you have caught a fairy and have a nightlight all at the same time.Difficulty:

What was your inspiration?
My mother. When I was small we used to catch fireflies and put them in a jar. Well my mother loves fairies and loves her garden so I used this project as a memory and allowed my young daughters to help me every step of the way. This project's most costly item is the solar light lid but it is so worth it. It really makes the fairy come to life.
What are you most proud of?
I already gave my mother this gift for Mother's Day because my family is moving to Alaska and I didn't want it to get lost in our move. My mother can be hard to please at times but she loved this thoughtful gift and decided she wanted to look at it more often so it is now her bathroom night light. I'm also proud of my girls for finding ornaments that were on clearance to use. They were perfect for this project.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Buy the lid first then find your jar. When you have those then look for the fairy or item of choice to put in the jar. Oh and have fun!
