HeartStrings #H78 Fairies and Flowers Scarf »
InstructionsDainty fairy motifs at one end of this scarf transform into flowers at the other end. Bead embellishment defines the fairy heads and flower buds. Taking advantage of the natural bias of the lace stitch patterns, a scalloped edging frames the entire piece.

What was your inspiration?
I envisioned a design of ethereal fairies that would combine textured stitches and beads. For the fairies, a cable twist and eyelets define the body and wings, while a bead (placed with the crochet hook method) represents the head.
What are you most proud of?
This scarf is knit end-to-end in one piece. There is no sewing or grafting.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
