What was your inspiration?
I had made a skirt using this same material, cut into strips (larger, longer strips), and was looking to make some sort of accessory out of the leftover strips. I had already thought about making some sort of gloves, or arm covers, so thanks to mom's suggestion - we have Fairie dangle gloves! :0)
What are you most proud of?
At risk of sounding like an idiot. I'm just proud of the fact that I made it, completely out of my own idea, no pattern, no instruction, just an idea. I'm pretty new at sewing, so for me, this is a pretty big accomplishment!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
I would definitely recommend using a stretchy material for this. The glove/armcover portion of it needs to be able to stretch to get over your hand, and then fit snugly over the wrist & arm. Unless you want to add a zipper, or have it lace up... go with stretch material!
