What are you most proud of? The vintage icecream van :o)

What advice would you give someone starting this project? I used cocoa butter and dust colours rather than pastes as I find them easier to work with and give a stronger colour for this stylized cake. As per this course, do lots of research, roughly plan out your buildings/rides/stalls and make more than you think you need.

this is amazing! did you use an edible copy machine for the images or are they hand painted? either way, its beautiful and one of the best cakes ive seen

it was all hand painted - you could use a printer though. It would be much quicker :o)

This cake is fabulous! When you say you used 50/50 you do mean 50 modeling chocolate and 50 fondant correct? Also, you mix dusting powders with cocoa butter to do the painting? That is such a beautiful effect.

It would have been gum paste. Yes, edible dusts mixed with melted cocoa butter. I much prefer it as a painting medium to paste colours. Painting with paste colours always feels like painting with chewing gum to me,
