What was your inspiration?
I love the sample swatch cards that quilting cotton manufacturers produce, but the pieces are so small that it is hard to get a really clear sense of the colours, and in most cases the swatches are fixed, so it is difficult to put different colours next to one another to test their compatibility. I knew there had to be a better way! So I got to work designing some printables that would accommodate a charm so that I could buy charm packs from the various companies in order to make more useful swatch cards.
What are you most proud of?
I love that I made good use of an existing pre-cut size, and that the text is clear and consistent across all the different collections.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
It's pretty straightforward! And you don't have to use pre-cuts...you can also use scraps from your stash for the various solids that you've already purchased.
Also, the link above takes you to one of my Kona printables, but there are many other options in my shop, so check them out!
