For my photo I tied all the settings (both indoor and out) and several distances to get what to me seemed the best shot.

What was your inspiration?

I just loved these ornaments when I first saw them and wanted to make them for all the members of my seniors group. I made 75 of them and never made a dent in my fabric stash. I took this photo and many more so that I could share the ornaments.

What are you most proud of?

I am ready with many of my needed Christmas gifts and it is only October.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Don't become addicted.

After a day of quilting I found it relaxing to make the ornaments. It took less than a month to make all that I needed. No hero, just someone who becomes obsessed.

I actually watched many and took bits from each. You just need to get the idea and go from there. Make sure that you go to the dollar store for supplies or they can be expensive. I also made a template to get the centre point of the fabric squares.

I found several videos on youtube. You need to watch them until you find one that works for you. Several made it very complex when it needn't be. Have fun, I loved making them.
