I liked the #1 palette the best. I have sewed for many years and always chose a favorite fabric and 3 or more that coordinated with it. I didn't always like the coordinated fabrics, until they stood side by side with my first choice. For this assignment, I went to my stash (and to my favorite quilt store) and just pulled my 25 favs. The next step of picking rarely used colors was more difficult. I am going to stick with these palettes for better or for worse and hopefully learn from it!
Hi, I'm taking this class too. I'm guessing this was your final or compromise piece that blended the go-to palette with the lesser used colors. What was your thought process? Did you have any surprises?
