Is this your project? Can you share instructions or a pattern with the Craftsy community?

Difficulty:

Category: Crocheting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Home

Style: Casual, Mod, Traditional

Materials

All yarns in these afghans are wool and acrylic blend, using whatever I have left over. Nothing wasted.

What was your inspiration?

This began with four smaller granny squares that grew and grew until I decided to crochet the biggest granny snuggler I have ever made. Wow, what a mamoth task it tuned out to be.

What are you most proud of?

Lasting the distance. There'll not be another one like this in a while.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Be patient, and don't make the first square too big such that you cannot commit yourself to making 3 others like it.

There is no pattern for this... seeems not to need one. Clamshell for the inner squares and a few outer borders, then take it back to double or triple stitch to even out the border and firm up the edges.

My Granny taught me to crotchet when I was little. Of course, I then forgot. I was later helped by a friend and now enjoy it again. This blanket evokes fond memories.

The peachy-pink of these inner squares really lights up a room, whilst the black border makes it a modern take on a vintage classic. ~Sonya~
