What materials did you use? Patons Classic Wool (100% Wool; 210yds/192m per 100g/3.5 oz. skein) Color: #00226 Black; 1 skein (Yarn held doubled) Knitting Needles: US Size 13 (9mm): 16″ circular. US Size 11 (8mm): 16″ circular and double pointed needles, Grosgrain ribbon, 1 vintage button
What are you most proud of? The overall shape, and versatility in the finished blocked form. It's a very fun hat to wear too!
What advice would you give someone starting this project? I always recomend getting an inexpensive Styrafoam head "wig stand" (available at beauty supply stores) for blocking hats on. The key to a beautiful finish is in the blocking and shaping. Taking a look at my tutorial for this helps too! ;) http://www.pieknits.com/blog/2011/10/tutorial-blocking-a-feltedfulled-hat.html
