The colours in this piece reminded me of flowing lava, hence the name 'Eruption'. I have made this version of my Ribbon scroll bezel with copper wire and a large circular piece of Carnelian. The copper wire creates a pretty pattern around the edge of the stone, allowing you to see the edge of the stone through the bezel, whilst forming a strong and sturdy setting around the stone. The pendant hangs from a 5 strand necklace, made of Carnelian chips and seed beads. The necklace is finishes with handmade copper wire cones, which each measure 1" long and a handmade hammered hook clasp. The necklace is 16 1/2" long and the pendant measures 2 2/3" tall including the bail and 1 2/3" wide and is 1/3" deep.
