What was your inspiration?

These hand coverings are a take-off of my knitting pattern HeartStrings #A67 Errant Ankles Lace Socks. For an ensemble, you could make both projects in the same yarn.

What are you most proud of?

For symmetry, instructions are provided for making the left and right a mirror of each other. These fingerless gloves are tapered. Instructions are also provided to create an optional thumb opening.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Both charted and written stitch instructions are provided. This is an easy pattern that looks more complicated than it really is. Basically there are only 2 eyelet pattern rows. It is the sequence of working those rows that makes the complex-looking design. Have fun!
