What are you most proud of?

My seams got really wonky when sewing over the bumps where the envelope backs overlapped. Rather than leaving it, out came the seam ripper. I ripped back to where it was straight. When starting the next seam, I made sure to sew over the previous stitches and did a couple of backstitches as well to anchor the new seam. Much better.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

This project uses French Seams, so when you are first putting the pillow together, your "Right" side is facing out for the first seam. Then you flip it inside out so the "Wrong" side is facing out and you seam again. This encloses any raw edges.

Also, It was really helpful to follow Diana's tip to mark the corners with a water soluble marker at 1/4" with a small line (in the shape of a cross or "t" after you've marked all sides) so that you know exactly where your needle should go down in the fabric for turning the corners. Easier than just guessing!
