Instructions

This was a Jinny Beyer kit, no choice of fabrics, only season. But pattern comes with it. Great little bag and fairly easy to put together. Niece loved the impromptu present. Easy item to whip up for Christmas gift/exchange.

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Accessory

For: Women

Style: Classic

Materials

Three fat quarters were used (kit) with satin braided cording for strap

What was your inspiration?

Really loved the pattern. Played with three fabrics to decide where each would go (outer, inner or binding)

What are you most proud of?

Using portions of the pattern for quick quilting.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Easy peasy! Two 18 inch squares and 88 x 2.5 inch of binding, plus braided cord. Trick is in the stitch and fold which I won't give away since it is a copyrighted pattern, but well worth the price! www.jinnybeyer.com, search for envelope bag - $15 for kit which includes pattern, 3 fat quarters and coordinating braid. You have to add batting, quilting and/or embellishment. Hardly 2 hours worth of work.
