My first attempt at entrelac knitting!

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Entrelac Knitting »

Instructions

Take the class! Though entrelac is a challenge, Gwen teaches it in a way that makes it much easier than it looks.

Difficulty:

Category: Knitting

Type of item: Accessory

For: Unisex

Style: Casual, Classic

Materials

Vanna's Choice Dusty Purple and Taupe

What was your inspiration?

I saw how cool the projects in the class were, and I just had to learn how to do it!

What are you most proud of?

I love the way it turned out! I'm a bit of a perfectionist, so I was quite pleased it didn't turn out ugly on my first try. Unfortunately, I live in LA, so I will probably never need to wear it. Since it's my first, I don't want to give it away. I'm thinking of turning it into a bag or a pillow so I can still show it off. :)

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Be patient with yourself! If it looks strange, you're probably doing it right. Also, watch lesson 10 before you get too far into the cowl. There are some great tips in that lesson, and they helped me immensely.

Your idea to turn it into a a bag or a pillow is a great idea if you don't think you will get any wear out of it. Nice work!

Thank you! I'm about to start the scarf. I hope it turns out even better! I'll probably mail it to someone for Christmas. :)
