Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Stupendous Stitching: Adventures in Surface Design »

Difficulty:

Category: Sewing

Type of item: Accessory

For: Women

Style: Funky, Casual, Cute

Materials

fabric, wool, thread

What was your inspiration?

I had some interesting wool and I thought using it on a purse could be good. The methods shown in the class made me want to give it a try.

What are you most proud of?

This is a first attempt - I'm very happy it turned out at all.

What a great idea to make a purse/tote. I have a favorite purse pattern I've used several times. This gives me another way to make it.

Really like the effect, your bag looks great, very individual - I'm making some totes and clutches at the moment and pretty sure I'll be trying this technique on the next few. I'm also probably going to add some beads and sequins too!

Thanks Carol Ann. I love your class but I was nervous about trying out the techniques. I'm looking forward to doing some more - probably end up buying tons of thread, wool etc. now.
