What was your inspiration?
Created for the Great Cake Bake held in Knoxville, TN to support the Imagination Library. While looking at colors, I loved Pantones "tender shoots" color for this spring. I used the isomalt pcs to brighten up the color palette.
What are you most proud of?
I have really enjoyed all of the Craftsy classes that I have enrolled in and really believe these have made me better. I pushed myself on the flowers and really love making them. I also love wedding cakes and believe they should be full of happiness and color. Isomalt work is a new challenge for me and I loved using the molds to make the jewels, butterflies and fern fronds. Would love for Craftsy to have a class for that medium.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Make sure you make extra flowers and pour extra sugar pieces. I dropped or tapped and shattered my fair share in putting this together.
