What was your inspiration?

I got this pattern on a craftsy.com deal! I loved the zig zags!!!! Then i found this fabric at ubersticth on etsy.com and I knew i had to make this dress.

What are you most proud of?

I dont look good in an empire dress so I added an extra panel that was fitted before I added the skirt on. I also moved the zipper from the side to the middle of the back.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

I have been self taught in sewing so i did not understand how to line up the triangles to make the zig zags. but you have to line them up just right so you have about 5/8" at the top and bottom so you can sew the panels together and still see the points of the triangle. Its hard to explain but so worth it when it works out!
