What materials did you use? The title "Heritage Quilt" came about because the fabrics used have family importance. Some are from happy occasions, others from sad memories, but all in all, they represent our life. The designs in the middle of each square have importance as well. The crazy little house reminds us of the wonderful years spent living all together; the musical staff remembers that when Em was little, I'd sing "You Are My Sunshine" to her, and it became our song. Sometimes now, when we speak on the phone, our greeting is singing "You are.." and the other person picking up "my sunshine.." and then we laugh.

Very, very nice quilt! Love that it all has personal meaning to you and yours - those are the very best quilts and this one is beautiful - and your quilting is great too!

Oh, Ann, such kind words. I do appreciate them. You may remember my asking you at the beginning of class if clamshell quilting would be OK? Thank God you said no. I have learned not to make such a large quilt again.
