I am thinking about purchasing a baby lock embroidery machine, do you recommend a machine

I haven't met an embroidery machine I haven't liked :-) All the samples done in this class - under the gun and fire of having to get done on a deadline - were done on the Babylock Sophia - what a little workhorse! When purchasing a machine from a dealer - I find that the human component is very important. Do you feel comfortable with them? Do they offer classes? Would you feel comfortable working with them in the future? Enjoy the research process and let us know where it takes you!

I opted to teach myself after purchasing from a dealer the second time I required a machine. The first dealer seems more interested in making the sale rather than teaching how to use the machine and they lure you with the classes one on one but with restrains many restrains. That is why I chose to purchase software not associated with a dealer like Embrilliance. When I have a question I go to the Forum and read. If by then I don't find my solution I post a question and within hours I get a response. Some dealers do not let you use the machines they just let you watch the dealer using the machine. Others just walk away leaving you in front of the machine. Other simply hover over you unable to answer questions. In the future I will purchase the best price from anyone even a dealer out of town. I am happy to find Craftsy that offers classes with a good pace to follow.
