Instructions

I made three of these backyard bird quilts last year - they were very popular at the craft fairs. Each block was embroidered with a different bird first - I used 7 inch designs in this quilt. Then it was on to sashing, quilting and all the neat stuff you do to make a quilt

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Plan it out and then go for it - I start with a set of embroidery designs, choose a color scheme - chart on paper and usually end up with something different!
