What was your inspiration?
I made this dress for a contest on the Olabelhe blog. I used this beautiful fabric I've been stashing for years.
What are you most proud of?
I just love how it turned out. She wore it to my father in laws wedding and she looked so beautiful.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
The elastic measurement was too short for me, so I would recommend trying the garment on your child and testing the elastic measurement in the sleeve before cutting and sewing, so that you don't have to pick the whole thing apart, like I did!
I also added the little bow to the front of the band. That's not included in the pattern, but it's really easy to do.
