What materials did you use? I used cotton quilting material for the front and back and fusible fleece for the inside. I didn't use interfacing. The thread was black poly all purpose Guterman, and the colored pencils were Prang and also some from my 6yo daughter's stash. Used a free-motion quilting foot.

This is such an awesome keepsake for your family! I love it. You have inspired me to look at this course more closely and decide if it is for me. How did you get the image of your daughter onto the fabric? Did you freehand draw it? It is lovely.

Come on over and join us. You will learn all the techniques so that you can make your own keepsakes. All your questions will be answered.

Thanks, Donna. You should absolutely take the course. It's tracing and free-motion stitching. Lola will teach you how!

This is beautiful. You nailed it. I love the picture you chose and the coloring is just enough to bring out all of her features. You did a great job. The textile medium does stiffen the fabric a little. I am very proud of you and keep up the beautiful work. I will be looking for more work from you.
