Elizabeth in Blue Violet Shadow

In the Morning Mist

In the Morning Mist
On a Garden Bench
A Shawl of Blue Violet Gossamer

Make It

This project was made from an independent Craftsy designer's pattern:
Elizabeth Shawl »

Difficulty:

Category: Knitting

Type of item: Accessory

For: Women

Style: Romantic, Retro / Vintage, Traditional

Materials

US #3 needles and 880 yards of lace yarn

What are you most proud of?

This was the third of Dee's patterns that I had tried. While I had made baby sweaters with lace designs in them, I had never used lace weight yarn until I knit this shawl.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Be patient with yourself while you adjust to knitting with the fine lace weight yarn. Learn to "read" your knitting. It will save you lots of frogging.

a lovely shawl indeed. I couldn't help noticing the blue flowers in your garden. I have them in mine as well but don't know what they are. Have you a name for them? they are such a joy in spring and go so well with that shawl.
