This took about two weeks to knit.....but then I did have some free time on my hands....and it is addictive.

Whoops! That's 50 g, not kg. Good grief! That'd be one huge shawl! Or, maybe a boat sail!

It is one huge shawl - which was deliberate on my part. I used 2.5 100g skeins of the sock yarn, and it was not self striping. I was rather lucky that one skein ended at the end of the chart, and I had to start a new skein on the next lace pattern, and there was a big difference in colour, despite the skeins all being from the same colourway and dye lot.

Your shawl is gorgeous! Did you use 50kg skeins of sock yarn and was it self- striping or is that your doing? It's beautiful!
