What was your inspiration?
Our daughter-in-law loves turtles so when I saw this pattern, I bought it and made it before they were even thinking of having a baby.
What are you most proud of?
This pattern was a challenge for me because I wasn't very far along in my quilting skills. It called for being paper pieced. I did that to an extent by using the technique to put the turtles together but once they were together, I appliqued them to the quilt rather than trying curves in the block. I'm proud of how it turned out considering I didn't realize what I was getting into.
