What materials did you use? I used black Isacord thread to do the outlining and quilting, fusible fleece for the batting, and a green cotton print for the background. I satin stitched the edge and sewed leaf shaped glass beads on it. The top is coated in textile medium to protect it.

What are you most proud of? That a piece of art was created between two generations... and love of art has been passed down.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? I bound the outside of the wall hanging with a wide velvet ribbon and just treated it like a traditional binding when I attached it. I hand sewed on a key ring on the back for quick hanging. Also, I think I should have used the textile medium over the entire project after putting the beads on instead of just where she used the colored pencils. That way the fabric would have been protected from discoloration later on.

I live on Cape Cod...and deer are always peeking at me behind a tree in the yard. This is great!
