What materials did you use? McCalls 6709, border print fabric by Kaufman called Effervescence

What are you most proud of? That I didn't mess up the border! I was a little worried at first that I was setting myself using a border print with stripes, but it worked out (just glad there are only a few stripes). I am also happy with the fit. I made my first ever muslin before starting this project and had to add quite a bit to hip/waist area. And I am happy that the collar isn't skewed.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Read up on princess seams. I managed to get my together, but next time I will find more resources. They were a bit of a pain. Use fabric you love!

I really love the look!!! I will be on the look out for this fabric! Worth the effort I would say!

Beautiful jacket! Love the fabric, the longer length, the back pleat. What fabric is that?

I think the jacket turned out fabulously. The pattern and the fabric were great choices. I agree with sewing with fabric you love it makes the process even more enjoyable, not to mention fun to wear. Really love it, fine workmanship,

Nicely done. I like the tweaking of the pattern to suit you. You made a very unique jacket.
