Instructions

This was a piece I was commissioned to make. My client had this cabochon and beads, that she wanted setting in my Eclipse design, with the chain connected on either side of the stone, rather than at a central point.

The necklace is 16 1/2" long, with the distance between the 2 top lengths of double chain (across the stone) being 1"

Materials

I have set this beautiful Silver Obsidan Cabochon, which is oval with smooth bevelled edges and curved on both faces, in my Eclipse bezel, so that t is revesable. This is connected to a double chain on both sides, which is made with faceted Mookaite and wrapped copper. The double length of chain feeds into a single length of Black onyx and copper chain. The necklace is finished with a handmade hook clasp and link, which have been hammered to add a contrast in texture.
