Eat Your Fruits & Veggies Table Runner

Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Quilting Quickly II: Patterns, Techniques & Tips »

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Home

Style: Casual

Materials

Farmer's Market by RJR Fabric Charm Pack, The Purple Thang (for shaping points), Heirloom Batting, Bleached Muslin for backing

What was your inspiration?

After several weeks of working on large bed quilts that take weeks to complete, I needed a project that I could enjoy and that could be completed in a day. I had admired this pattern when I first purchased the course and hoped to make it someday--that day was today. This table runner is a donation for an charity auction.

What are you most proud of?

I am most proud of taking the time to practice getting the seams nestled in each other and getting to use "The Purple Thang" for the first time. It was a gift from Missouri Star Quilt Company during the 12 days of Christmas. It makes the pointiest points! Also, I was very relaxed as I stitched in the ditch and am pleased with how straight they turned out.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Find a charm pack that you love and go for it! You can do it.

That really came out great! I want to make one too, but have not found the time. I might have to get "The Purple Thang" - it sounds like something I would need for future projects too. Thank you for posting.
