What was your inspiration?

I design printable party decorations, cake toppers included. I needed to make my son a super hero cake with all his favorite heros and make it look like they were popping out of the cake. I didnt want to make one big party circle becasue I wanted something more energetic. I decided to print images of the heros on cardstock then cut them out and glue them individually on skewers. I was able to place them on the cake like they were actually exploding out of it. This way I got the dimension I was looking for. I make a simple white and teal marbled fondant cover for my cake and then make it look like the fondant ripped from the explosion on top.

What are you most proud of?

I was able to get the depth I wanted from the figures in an easy way.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Make sure you find clear printable images.
