Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Functional

For: Home

Style: Funky, Cute, Casual

Materials

100% cotton fabric and batting, Insulbrite.

What was your inspiration?

My inspiration came from this fabulous fabric, my dear husband who does 99% of the cooking in our home and the dead simple pattern from Skip to my Lou.

What are you most proud of?

I love the way these oven mitts turned out!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Super simple, have fun! I bound them the same way you would a quilt, don't make your binding too thin.

I need something to get me sitting at the sewing machine again and these look just the thing. I love what you have done and love your fabric too.

Thanks GRB! The binding around the wrist can be tricky, it was tight around the free arm on my machine!
