Materials
I used quilters cotton and cotton broadcloth, but any woven fabric can be used. If you lack a sewing machine, you can even use felt, and decorate it using fabric paint.
What was your inspiration?
After finding myself emptying my bag for the umpteenth time trying to find a specific crayon and picture for my daughter, only to find it was crumpled or missing, I decided I needed a way to keep things organized when out and about.
What are you most proud of?
I love that more than a year later, the item still gets used almost daily, and the sight of it still excites my kids, as they know something cool is hidden in there!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Just do it. If you follow the instructions on the website, you'll find even someone with no experience can make it using felt.
