What was your inspiration?
I purchased a pattern online, just to make a baby dress. I was new to crochet and my gauge was way off...it was turning out enormous so I set it aside unfinished.
What are you most proud of?
Every year I make Cali's Easter dress. The first two Easter the dresses were sewn. This year, I was "too busy" and decided to go buy a dress. But, while sorting through yarn, I came across this half finished dress just a few weeks before Easter. I took it out, and the pattern was nowhere to be found. So, I finished the length and added the trim and embellishments, back closures, everything without any pattern. I'm proud that I have another handmade Easter dress for Calista to appreciate when she's grown.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Check gauge...something I'm not used to doing.
