What materials did you use? Three different fabrics and metallic thread.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Anyone wanting to learn how to quilt would benefit from this class. NO pattern...just a wonderful technique that is fast and fun to do!

The hot pin really adds zing.

Thanks DL...I did love using the pink. Using the metallic thread really set the whole quilt zinging! :)

Beautiful quilt! I like the simple quilting with the complicated piecing. Which of the methods taught in the class did you use for this quilt?

Thank you eepsers! This was the Rock the Block, Album Style. All of the quilts in this class have NO pattern. They have steps you do, creating a unique quilt each time. Joe is a great teacher and I love all the techniques he taught in this class. I wish I had known about how to make a quilt without a pattern when I first started quilting. A really fun class for sure!

Btw...the piecing may look complicated...but it really isn't! The easiest piecing I think I have ever done.

Thanks for the info! I took and loved the class, but haven't made anything yet. I'll have to give it a try!

It has been a couple of years now, but I would really like to try the others in the class to. The projects are perfect for straight line quilting too. Right now I am trying to make a purse...first one ever too! Haha
