the ear vines are lovely - been having a go at them this afternoon. how do you smooth off the end of the wire that threads through the ear, as it tends to be quite rough from the wire cutters, or am i just not cutting correctly?

I use a file to smooth out the edges. It may take a bit of time to get that part right. I would love to see you finished product!

Check out the free pattern that was sent to me. They are very easy to make and so pretty! I love them. I'm hoping to be able to get a supply of Sterling Silver wire soon so that I can make some that I can wear through my piercings. I have extremely sensitive ears :(

I normally wear them around my earlobe because my ears are so sensitive that I have to be careful of what I use in my piercings. They do have a tendency to fall off when something is pressed against your ear though (like a phone) when you wear them that way. So you have to be very mindful of them. The pic that they are worn through a piercing is my daughter

I don't understand how to wear them. Do they just hug the ear, or does the wire go through a piercing?

There are pics above that show 2 ways to wear them.

Forgive me, paula, but the pics are not self-explanatory. I cannot tell whether the long stem goes through a piercing, or if it simply hugs the ear.

Sorry about that. They are meant to wear through a piercing, but I have very sensitive ears and can't afford to buy sterling silver wire right now so I decided to try them around the earlobe with the stem conformed to the back of my ear. There is a disadvantage to wearing them that way though. I realized that when I answered my cell phone one day and one fell off. Sorry the pics didn't explain it right. I don't know if anyone has ever wrapped them around the ear the way I do or not that may be just a "me" thing LOL

Thank you, Paula, that helps. You're absolutely right about the price of sterling. But wrapping around the earlobe is very clever.
