Instructions

These earrings are so quick and easy and FUN to make! I never have any of these in stock because they sell almost as quickly as I can make them.

Difficulty:

Category: Jewelry

Type of item: Accessory

For: Women

Style: Cute, Funky, Casual

Materials

20g wire, beads

What was your inspiration?

I needed way to use up all those little short bits of wire left over from making chainmaille rings or wire-wrapping and I needed something quick to make in the last days before a show.

What are you most proud of?

Who knew that such a simple design would be so well loved? These earrings are popular with women of all ages. I've had grandmas come into my booth with their granddaughters and each pick out a pair. :)

How do you wear them. Do they screw into the ear hole? There is no wire.

Yes, that it exactly how you wear them...the end of the spiral goes into the piercing from the front and you wind it in. It's great because it makes them very secure and it's impossible for one to fall out!

Annaliese and puddycook, your tutorials should be in your email inboxes now. I've been away from home since Friday evening and the dial-up internet where I was staying couldn't seem to handle the file size as none of the emails with tutorials attached would leave my Outbox! Please let me know that the tutorials have arrived safely! Very sorry about the wait, but there was nothing I could do at the time!

Yes, Harry Mason is the original designer of the Earspirals and has them patented too.

Yes, I know of several people who have developed this design independently of each other...and we all thought that we had thought of it first! I've been making and selling these for 10 years. I was unaware of any patents on the design however. I'll have to look into it.

I made a pair of these. They're my favorite earrings because they never fall out!
