What was your inspiration?
With a Resin Ball jointed doll you need to be very careful with the pins, if you please. So with that thought in mind I looked for a body double in the stores her size for dressmaking...talk about mission impossible. they had them, but they were either well out of my price ranger made by other crafters or just plain too big...so with that in mind I made my own by the same methods I made mine years ago. Duct tape and a tee shirt.
What are you most proud of?
The fact that I did not get any of that awful tape on my doll, the stuff is insidious! and the glue remover to get it off is just as bad. so when I wrapped up my doll I mummified her in the plastic wrap to make sure she was well and truly covered.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
cut the duct tape in reasoable lengths..about 6 inches long and then cut the wide strips in half so they are two narrow strips you get more control that way.
