Yarn: Bijou Spun Himalayan Trail75/25 Yak/ Merino; 200 yards [183 m]; 2 ounces [56 grams]; CYCA size 2 sport 12-ply): dark brown, white, 1 (1, 1) hank each color. Needles: US 5/ 3.75mm, straights; US 4/3.5, 16 or shorter; five US 4/3.5, DPNs; or size to obtain correct gauge Notions: Stitch Markers, Cable Needle, Yarn Needle

What was your inspiration?

The inspiration for this hat came when I saw the beautiful natural colors of the yak/merino Bijou Spun Himalayan Trail. A Fair Isle cable pattern immediately came to mind so I designed the Dual Cable Hat.
I love the Yin and Yang of the cream and brown yarn cabled around each other. It made knitting this piece both complex and exciting. Go ahead and treat yourself with this great yarn and a pattern that will push your knitting limits and help you become a capital K knitter!
