Dryer lint, cotton fabrics, organza, snippets, and water-soluble stabilizer

What was your inspiration?

Does your dryer lint trap yield colorful rectangles of fabulous fiber? How can you resist the soft colors and textures? Dont throw it away...use it to make a unique piece of fabric, then turn it into this cute little clutch! The fun of this project is in the fabric: you can use lint right from the dryer, with all its bits and pieces pulled from countless loads of laundry, or embellish it with snippets of metallic yarns, pretty papers, fancy fibers, glitter and confetti.whatever your heart desires! Once you have created your fabric, you can do anything you want with it, but here is a pattern for a simple clutch that is the perfect size for a cell phone, MP3 player, or your collection of gift cards. The PDF pattern has lots of photos to guide you through the step-by-step instructions.

What are you most proud of?

I am proud to recycle something as ephemeral as dryer lint!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Careful....it's addictive!
