What was your inspiration?
I found this old green t-shirt which was basically ok but had not been used for years... I did not want to throw good fabric away, so I decided to sew a dress. I also had one too small red beanie, which made a cute pocket for this dress. Additional decoration, red "angry birds" -label, was cut from my son's t-shirt.
What are you most proud of?
Sleeves!! At first I thought I'll make a t-shaped dress, but suddenly I found myself cutting the sleeves round (is it called "butterfly sleeves??) And it was a perfect shape!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Re-using old t-shirts, you can easily make this kind of experiments without having to worry if something goes wrong. With this "I just decided to try..." -attitude, you can get fancy and special new clothes with no cost at all.
