What was your inspiration?
There is a little girl that I sew for sometimes. I wanted to make this simple dress pattern and decided to add the pieced border in the skirt. Bought the fabric and already had the precut hex and triangles :)
What are you most proud of?
Love the way it turned out. I even substituted ribbon for the fabric ties the pattern called for!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Have fun! I think this is a good way to test out quilting borders to see if you really want to make enough to go around a quilt.
