Denim Dress - This is the bodice with the stitching done... Once the skirt is added there will be top stitching on the the midriff piece as well... Fun project!!

What was your inspiration?

Always wanted a denim dress, but getting one to fit has been such a struggle...

Beautiful in denim. Can't wait to see finished dress. By the way--with a little bit of redrafting--this could make a great looking sleeveless summer blouse too.

Hi thanks for the comment. I thought I had tagged the class when I set up the project Just edited that So, yes - I'm using Susan's Couture class to make the dress... Pretty close to being done, and will post more once it's complete. Denim was bought at Mood, and was much prettier once it was washed, Silk Organza interlining and there will be a cotton lining when complete.

This Kay Unger pattern looks cute done in denim. When you finish please post more pictures and details. Did you do this dress using a Craftsy class? I am working with my sewing buddy on her first muslin fitting of this same dress. She is following Susan's Couture class. She will be using silk organza, duponi silk and bemberg lining.
