Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Plus-Size Pattern Fitting & Design »

Instructions

Have fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but be sure you put drop cloth under the project to catch the spray from water and inks. Also, using at least a 2" brush works the best for applying the ModPodge. Pretear the old pattern pieces to make things manageable as you work.

Difficulty:

Category: Sewing

Type of item: Functional

For: Plus-sized

Style: Victorian / Steampunk

Materials

old t-shirt, kraft paper tape, Dylusions Ink Sprays and old pattern pieces with matte ModPodge

What was your inspiration?

I enjoy mixed media art and could not resist perking this project up a bit.

What are you most proud of?

The motivation this project has given me to sew for myself again.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Don't get impatient....let it dry, but as it does, keep a close look out for areas that may be weaker and need reinforced with padding until it is dry. If you do use Dylusions BE SURE you ModPodge or use a spray sealant of choice to insure none of the ink ever gets moist and activates onto a sewing project.

Great idea to make something useful and artsy at the same time. It's very creative and I know you'll enjoy using it!
