What was your inspiration?

You can create the cutest doll clothes from recycled kid and baby items. The material usually has a small enough pattern on it to be used for doll clothes. I also make aprons from recycled materials and handbags from recycled denim! Take a look and maybe you will be inspired to try it yourself!

What are you most proud of?

The dress fits the doll well and can easily come off and on for little fingers! Also I am doing my part to recycle and help save the planet!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

If you want to try to make something from recycled materials, go to your local thrift store and buy something at a discount to practice on. The blanket this dress was made from has enough patterned material to make several items and the blanket was under $3.00. Pre-wash your item before you cut it apart and you will be able to launder it later if necessary with ease! What's more, your creation will be unique because the material didn't come from a fabric store!
