Materials

I used a store bought table runner from Pottery Barn and made it into 2 runners that are 4' long. All the green fabric are scraps that I had in my stash. I also used the Dresden Plate ruler that I bought at Joann's.

What was your inspiration?

I really enjoy the look of the Dresden Plate block. Instead of making a bunch of quilt blocks I decided to attach the plate to a table runner and use it as part of our St. Patrick's theme.

What are you most proud of?

That I figured out that a 5" blade would make the diameter exactly how I wanted on the table runner. It worked perfectly.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

The only way you are going to learn to do anything is to just jump right in and do it. There will be mistakes along the way but the next time you do it you'll know what you did wrong.
