I used the Dresden plate pattern to design this..(6 inch).then added the borders. I outlined the edges of the "petals" to give it a sharper image. It is a pillow sham - so the back has the cross over opening, then I added the quilt binding along the opening to give it more support and to keep the edge straight.

Materials
Cotton materials and the back and middle were a polyester blend. Thread, sewing supplies, iron, and tools.
What was your inspiration?
I saw one on here, went to the tutorial at www.missouriquiltco.com and then made this. It measures ~ 23 inches square - but I sewed along the outer border - so it will fit a pillow 20 inches square.
What are you most proud of?
How nice all the colors look together. I like the way it looks after I outlined the edges of the petals. Also, how fast I made it...from conception to finish was less than 24 hours. This was my first time even trying something like this pattern.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
It's not very hard to make and it can be fun using a variety of colors and prints.
