What advice would you give someone starting this project? You can purchase the pattern to this quilt on Craftsy! Go to Patterns and type in "Dresden Tie Memory Quilt". If you don't have enough ties to make this quilt - you need 20-21 for the quilt pattern - please see my pattern for "Necktie Memory Pillows", also on Craftsy!

I'll have to figure out how to send you a photo of the quilt. Is there an e-mail address I would send it to so you would receive it? I teach beginning quilt classes on occasion & I too like to make directions really clear. Yours are wonderful!!! I'd recommend this pattern down load to anyone interested in making a neck tie quilt!

I Highly recommend this pattern to anyone who is thinking of making a neck tie quilt! I believe you can adjust the height of the template to make the circle larger or smaller. The pattern gives you the correct angle to make a Dresden plate using 20 ties. The written directions are very easy to follow! I originally thought I'd just need to lay the ties together & stitch, but that wasn't the case. I have the top together & now need to layer it onto the batt & backing, pin & quilt. I love the way it's coming out!! Thank you again for a wonderful pattern!! I'll e-mail you a photo once it's finished.

Thank you so much! I am looking forward to seeing your photo! I am working on a new pattern for an angel wing quilt, I'll be sure to let you know when it is done!

Wonderful! We visited North Carolina several years ago & picked up angel wing shells on the beach. There is a quilting/knitting shop named The Angel Wing. I'll watch for this pattern!
