Quick-Strip Paper Piecing »

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Home

Style: Holiday

Materials

cotton fabric, paper, printer, thread, iron

What was your inspiration?

i wanted to make the sailor's delight. this was my first try and turned out great.

What are you most proud of?

my color choices looked really good here. I was trying to make something that could be displayed for fall/xmas on one side and then for winter on the other. It is small, but perfect for my grandmother's small coffee table at her condo.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

paper piecing is so much easier that you think and it looks like you are really a pro. i'm in love with this technique and so glad I signed up for this class. I am in love w/ craftsy!

That stripe fabric looks fantastic in this block. How did you make it look so round instead of octagonal?

Your Dreamweaver project is wonderful - I LOVE how that stripe worked out, and the back block is just a pretty as the front! What a great gift for your grandmother - she will love it!
