What are you most proud of? I love how realistic it is!!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Don't fret. None of the dreadlocks will be exactly the same so measurements aren't that important. Just remember that the dreads are pure wool, so they will shrink when washed. Only machine wash for felting. Hand wash after that. HAVE FUN!!!!

Is there a pattern for the Dreads? I've been asked to make a hat for my niece who is going through Chemo and wants a dreadlock hat. Any help or patern info you can give is appreciated. Thank you :-)

Wow Chemo is rough. My grandfather has been battleing cancer for almost 2 years now.

The dreads are made of 100% wool. They are made with i-cords. they can be stitched onto any hat, either hand made or store bought. I lhope this helps. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

After the dreads are made and attatched to a NON-wool hat, wash it with HOT water in your wash-machine, then dry it in the dryer. This "felting" process will change the wool. NEVER apply heat again, and only wash with gentle or knit cycle after the inicial felting process. Lay flat to dry.
